ENGLISH My professional career as
a DJ began in the early 1980’s in Pedregalejo (Malaga) where I started playing music some
nights with the help of a couple of professional DJ friends, to get some
money while I was studying at University.
My first official nights began at RADIO TOKIO (Limonar) covering the official DJ Tony
Perez on his nights off. After that, I
began expanding my nights in places like the nightclub BOBBY LOGAN, and at the smaller pub/club LEMON amongst many others. In the middle of the
1980’s, I moved to the Costa Del Sol working as resident DJ in the then
famous disco POMELO in Fuengirola, which was so
successful it relocated to much larger premises under the Hotel
Piramides. I feel it was all this
working (and learning) during these special years that have helped me become
the successful and professional DJ I am today. Towards the end of the
80’s, and into the early 90’s I began my first stint as a DJ at THE LONDON PUB based on the Paseo Maritimo in
Fuengirola, and at the same time I finished my degree at the University
earning the title of Economist along the way.
In 1997, I ventured into running my own nightclub SEFORA
along
with a very good friend and colleague.
Based in Montemar, Torremolinos, the club was aimed at entertaining
Hen/Stag parties and other large party groups. In 1999, I started my
second session at The Now I´m back again to The
Certainly as many people point
out, I would make more money with a career as an Economist - but music is in
my heart and soul, and has been throughout the 25 years of my DJ’ing
career. Playing
music and entertaining people is the thing I enjoy most, and always will be. |
ESPAÑOL Mi trayectoria profesional comienza a principio de los años 80 en Pedregalejo, Málaga, donde compaginaba mis estudios
(de bachillerato primero y de Económicas después) con algunas noches poniendo
música para poder sacar algunos ingresos mientras estudiaba. En “Radio Tokio” (Limonar) fue De allí pronto pasé a trabajar en A finales de los 80, principios de los 90 pasé al "London Pub" en el Paseo Marítimo de Fuengirola, donde he trabajado la mayor parte de mis noches como DJ, (de ahí lo de Michael pues mi nombre es Miguel Ángel. Sobre el año 97 monté, en sociedad con otro Sr., la sala “Séfora” de Montemar dedicada especialmente a la celebración de despedidas de solter@s, luego volví a pasar al London Pub a finales del 99 otra temporada. En el año 2002 me trasladé a Puerto Banús;
fue entonces cuando decidí comprarme todo el equipo necesario para dedicarme
también a la amenización de fiestas privadas y me especialicé sobretodo en música para Bodas. Al mismo tiempo trabajé
eventualmente en varios Pubs y Discotecas de Puerto Banús y también como DJ residente en algunos como "ELI´S Café de Banús", junto a Sinatra´s (temporada
2003), "PANGEA" en la terraza sobre
el Club Náutico Banús y Restaurante En Mayo de 2.007 pasé al "Fraggle Rock", en Málaga capital, hasta mayo de 2.008. Supongo que la clave de mi éxito está en mi amor por mi trabajo, me siento totalmente realizado cuando lo desarrollo, es sobre todo esta vocación la que me impulsa a seguir dedicándome a ello aunque, como mucha gente me dice, “seguro que ganaría más como Economista…” Y ¿cómo me mantengo ahí después de tantos años? El amor a mi trabajo que,
en definitiva no es otra cosa que hacer que la gente
se divierta, unido a la vida sana que procuro mantener es lo que me
permite aguantar tantos años trabajando con estos horarios tan difíciles de
soportar. Son 43 años los que cumplo ahora, en Octubre de 2.008 y más de 25 años de
experiencia con todo tipo de público y de todas las nacionalidades;
